RESULTS - šŸ†NIKLAS ANTTILA & OHN SCOGGINS

In the heart of TX, there’s no better pairing than cowboy hats and frisbees. We’re only 3 events into the season, and it’s shaping up to be the best yet.

The 1st Major’s in 48 hours, and there’s no time to catch your breath. In no particular order, here are the storylines you should remember or may have missed:

HIGHLIGHT

Hole 10 was downhill, 315’, and an island hole. It was a recipe for ace runs and 3 players stuck the basket: Austin Turner (Lefty BH TI Zone), Trevon Crowe (FH Neutron Pyro), & Niklas Anttila (FH Luster PD2).

The champ’s ace came in Round 1 just after he was given a time violation warning and missed a 15-footer. Even post-ace, he was the opposite of ecstatic.

ā™¾ļø Infinite’s Highlight: The Khonsu (5|5|-3|0)
On Thursday (3/21), the Ancient Egyptian god of the moon enters Infinite’s lineup.

The Khonsu is a beadless, US midrange designed for any player. Its glide provides effortless distance while maintaining the control sought after in a 5-speed.

Don’t let the -3 turn fool you though. While it is flippy, this mold handles more torque than meets the eye unlike an Innova Rollo or Axiom Paradox.

With a slight dome, it’ll be available in Infinite’s I-blend plastic. For those familiar, it feels like a smaller Anubis and flies close to a stock Buzzz SS.

Khonsu’s name means ā€œtravelerā€ and supposedly protected those traveling at night. Add the god of the moon to your bag with Infinite Discs!

QUICK HITS
Random Dubs

1ļøāƒ£ Every other week, there’s a new hack to throwing nose down and as a result farther. You have to filter through and make sure this new groundbreaking thing is worth taking seriously.

There was one that had all the right signs: A Bradley Williams endorsement and community discussions. Here’s the tip…

The briefcase carry isn’t new, but thinking about turning the inside of your elbow down could make a difference. This swing thought might not fix your throw, but maybe, you’re just one more away.

2ļøāƒ£ I know all of you were on the edge of your seats waiting to know if Brian Schweberger got his 400th PDGA win… *spoiler alert* He did.

Rated 1034, it was a single-round win by 7 strokes. Besides his 47% win rate, 2 crazy stats came out of this achievement:

  1. His right hand has never thrown a non-Innova disc since his sponsorship began (2002). No limits on lefty throws though

  2. He dodges burnout by avoiding casual rounds. He’s played less than 10 in the last 5 years

Schwebby has no plans on stopping ā€œuntil [his] body will no longer allow [it].ā€ His march to #500 starts Sunday.
